Harper Lee Sues Her Agent: For Fraud

I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read Harper Lee’s agent took advantage of her age and tricked her into signing away her copyright for TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD. Does this man have no shame? It’s time to force literary agents to have state licensure, so they’ll think twice before pulling a stunt like this. Nurses, doctors, dentists have to get licensed. Time for literary agents! Anyone who’s ever heard Harper Lee speak knows what a kind and good-hearted woman she is. Samuel Pinkus, is her agent. He’s the son-in-law of her long time agent who died. No doubt he considers Harper Lee’s opus as his “special” inheritance. I’m ticked!

I hope the judge does a smack down on Pinkus and forces him to apologize to Harper Lee, her family, and her generations of fans. Harper Lee has never been a publicity hound, and I hate she faces this nightmare at this time in her life.  Would someone please unleash the hounds of hell on Pinkus?
